Raghu Vamsi Group has named Dr. S K Jha as Chief Executive Officer of its Advanced Materials Division, a move that strengthens the company’s push into high-end metallurgy and superalloy manufacturing. Jha brings over three decades of experience in metallurgy, advanced materials, and industrial production to the role.
Before joining, he led Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) as Chairman and Managing Director, where he spearheaded projects like an 8-tonne Vacuum Induction Melting Furnace and a 6000-tonne Isothermal Forge Press. His contributions extended to critical components for India’s nuclear, aerospace, and defense sectors, including lattice tubes for power plants and high-pressure compressor discs for the Jaguar military aircraft. His involvement also covered space missions such as the PSLV, GSLV-MkIII, Chandrayaan, and Gaganyaan programs.
The new facility in Telangana, scheduled for commercial production in January 2028, will integrate processes like vacuum melting, forging, heat treatment, and powder metallurgy into a single operation. The plant will manufacture round bars, wires, forgings, castings, and tungsten carbide powders, directly addressing India’s heavy dependence on imports for specialized materials. Nickel-based superalloys, a key output, are vital for aerospace engines, defense systems, spacecraft, and nuclear power infrastructure.

Vamsi Vikas Ganesula, Founder and Managing Director of Raghu Vamsi Group, highlighted that essential materials will be central to India’s expansion in aerospace and defense. Jha’s appointment supports the company’s strategy of vertical integration and domestic self-sufficiency in critical sectors. The group already holds AS9100D and NADCAP certifications, supplying global clients in aerospace, defense, energy, and medical fields. Its operations span facilities in Hyderabad, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with a new integrated campus under construction near Hyderabad International Airport.
This initiative merges in-house manufacturing with Jha’s track record in large-scale metallurgical projects. Jha’s focus will be on scaling output to meet global standards, ensuring the facility serves both domestic and export markets. The group’s existing certifications and international supply chain expertise position it to rival established players in advanced materials.
